Have you been thinking about a career in the construction trades?

Apprenticeships are one of Oregon’s best kept secrets. There are other alternatives other than attending colleges. Apprenticeship is the Original 4 year Degree. Area I Plumbers apprenticeship program is a 4 year program with on the job training and class room training. An apprentice is a full time employee who is earning while learning. A beginning apprentice is paid 45% of the average journeyperson wage and increases every 6 months. Earn credits while attending classes at Clackamas Community College in Oregon City. After completion from the program credits can be applied towards an Associates Degree. Area I Plumbers is an open shop (non union) program. With open shop employers you have an open door and direct relationship with your employer. The program was established in 1976 and is administered by Marianne Carley and Ashley McMahon.
